Types of Trips We Run, our Pricing, and what to expect

These rates are based on 1-4 person private fishing charters (shared charters aside, of course). If requested, I can accommodate up to 6 customers, with an additional charge of $150/person ($50/person for half-days).

Our charter fishing trips are typically 8-9 hours long, with shark and combination/marathon trips running 10-11 hours long. In addition, we’ve had requests at sea to extend the day, which we will gladly do for an additional hourly charge of $100/hour.

Plenty of room. There is a 4th person sitting down next to the man with the electric reel!

We are the 1-4 person Massachusetts fishing charter specialists.

Our rates are competitive, so that a small group can afford to have the boat all to themselves. You don’t feel compelled to pack the boat with 6 people to save money (per person). Deep-sea fishing is a blast and it shouldn't be elbow-to-elbow on a slow boat! We get you there quickly, safely, and comfortably. Small charters are better, they're more personal, and:

For those used to fishing on party boats, we are small jump up in price, but a huge jump up in personal service! That is worth the price! Many of our customers have fished on party boats (head boats) in Maine, New Hampshire, Gloucester, Lynn, Plymouth, Hyannis, and even in Rhode Island. We feel that our private charter services fill the niche of great personal attention. It should feel like your birthday on our boat. It's your vacation, your time, and it should be done your way.

Many people drive several hours to fish with us. With a smaller charter, you don’t have to coordinate as many people, which can be difficult, especially when you have to plan around families and their schedules. I hear many people who speak with me say how they're struggling to find 6 people to fish on their charter. They are so used to getting 6 people on a charter boat, that they think that they "have to have 6 people". They are so relieved to hear that I specialize in 1-4 person charters and that it won't break the bank to fish on the Black Rose. In fact, I often get groups of 2-3 people who decide to charter out the whole boat for the day. Talk about great attention! With only 2 or three people on board, we can really cater to everything that they need. With tuna fishing...forget about it! It's amazing.

Everything is provided for you on these trips. Of course we provide all of the fishing tackle, bait, and lures. We also provide waters, sodas, and snacks. We have suntan lotion, raingear, and the means to store all of your fish on board.

When a fish is caught that we are going to keep, we bleed it, ice it down, fillet it promptly, rinse the fillets, bag the fillets, and pack the fillets in ice. There is no better way to keep your fish any fresher than this. Bleeding a fish firms up the meat and keeps its color as pure as possible. We notice a huge difference and that is why we go through these lengths for you.
If you have any questions, call 508-269-1882 or email Capt. Rich at captain@blackrosefishing.com

As always, cash on board is the preferred method of payment. I do accept PayPal, credit cards, and checks.
