Long day today. Eugene and Brian had the weather going for them today. It was perfect weather. Chilly in the am, clear as sin, no wind, then sunny and warm. But where were the tuna? I ran around more today than amost ever before. We fished everywhere looking for the tuna that we've been seeing everywhere for the past couple of weeks. It was difficult.
Welcome to my addiction...further...we must look further to find the tuna. We did, and we didn't find any. We did see two gigantic basking sharks and loads of stripers on Stellwagen. Finally, on the ride home, in the middle of nowhere. I found white water. A tiny tuna blitz. Good sized fish, but not many and they disappeared very quickly. That's tuna fishing. I'll be out there again tomorrow and as often as I can. See you on the water!!!

Black Rose Fishing Charters specializes in small, private fishing charters. Our rates are very affordable and it is much easier to put together a smaller charter. We are based in Green Harbor, but we fish all of Cape Cod, Massachusetts Bay, Plymouth Bay, and Buzzards Bay. We target all species of fish, depending on season. We fish for "groundfish", which means cod, haddock, pollack, wolf fish, cusk, hake, halibut, and redfish. We would fish for sharks every day if we could and we catch blue sharks, makos, threshers, and porbeagles. We love it. Because of the design of our boat, we can have 4 people casting at one time very easily. We love fishing for bluefin tuna (casting, jigging, and trolling), striped bass, and bluefish. We have a fast boat, full cabin, and comfortable ride. See you out there!
