Wow did we sneak today's trip in just in the nick of time! We left Race Point and made it home with minutes to spare. Worst storm in a long time. It was a monsoon--we got nailed about 2 miles from the breakwater. Fast ride home with a following sea that met a huge rainstorm. Sick.
Fishing for my customers was incredible! The two 15-year olds had never fished the ocean before...all trout and small freshwater fish. So...the first few blues took them by surprise!! Then the blitz of stripers was so epic that they were shellshocked! It was incredible...all topwater action, so they had the great smashes and splashes that make this sport so much fun. I loved it. They learned so quickly.
Josh's Mom did great, landing the first two fish and a good number of stripers. It was good seeing her spend time with her son and his friend. They came down from Vt. and it was great to get them on the water! See you all out there! Capt. Rich, with spots available coming up. 508-269-1882
Black Rose Fishing Charters specializes in small, private fishing charters. Our rates are very affordable and it is much easier to put together a smaller charter. We are based in Green Harbor, but we fish all of Cape Cod, Massachusetts Bay, Plymouth Bay, and Buzzards Bay. We target all species of fish, depending on season. We fish for "groundfish", which means cod, haddock, pollack, wolf fish, cusk, hake, halibut, and redfish. We would fish for sharks every day if we could and we catch blue sharks, makos, threshers, and porbeagles. We love it. Because of the design of our boat, we can have 4 people casting at one time very easily. We love fishing for bluefin tuna (casting, jigging, and trolling), striped bass, and bluefish. We have a fast boat, full cabin, and comfortable ride. See you out there!
